That was my original thought: EXEMPTED (not a word), but EXEMP-TD,
free from smog. I despise the smog check program. That was the first
motivator that began my hunt for a TD. I suppose paying the extortion
money government "needs" is a necessary evil. But when they actually
require my body to go waste an hour or more of my time, AND charge me for it, AND perhaps remove a working car from my use, that still works, , it just gets absurd. I just like the thought of being EXEMPT from the ridiculous machinations of government. That was why I liked it, EXEMPTD.
