The new job at Purdue is fun.

I'm pretty excited, my first job that i mostly initiated is approved for construction and we are just finishing up the paperwork.

The Bell Tower repair has turned into a delayed gratification, we are hiring a consultant to investigate why we are getting excessive water inside it and how.....

The pole barn boat storage job is nearing the construction stage...

We are hiring a consultant on the heavy timber roof structure historic building job too.....

The construction of access platform in the boiler plant that are suspended on the fourth and fifth levels of the boiler plant on beams and columns is in pricing and the Engineering drawings are being elaborated.

The access ramp on the front of one of our larger historic buildings is in the second design refinement stage.

My 3.4million budget mechanical and electrical upgrade for the computer rooms at the Calumet campus is in bid now too.

The preliminary design on the 28mil new building at the Calumet campus is through schematic design and the 34mil new building at the North Central Campus is now just beginning programming in preparation for schematic design.

Thats just hitting the high points. I have about 25 or so projects I am managing at present, though about ten are basically finished just waiting to be closed out at the end of the warranty period, but I suppose that is normal. About 2/3 are inherited underway and the rest I am getting up and running.

Its very busy but challenging and overall fun.

Its a little unnerving to know that you always have about fifty people looking over your shoulder at all times. Its embarrassing if you get caught making a mistake but reassuring to know that if you miss something someone else is sure to find it.

Its always better to be very busy than the other way around!
