So I've posted a couple times but I thought this deserved its own thread. I have a euro spec 1981 300TD non-turbo. I have attached a picture of what the back of the display looks like. My speedometer isn't working but my odometer is. My dash lights also don't work.
I pulled out the display to attempt to fix these two issues. I jumpered the rheostat and attempted to figure out the speedometer issue. It seems as though I'm missing something, perhaps a speedometer sender? The pictures posted on my other thread (
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=235956) it appears that there is a sending unit that I don't have. The problem is that I also don't see a cable anywhere behind there to plug into this sending unit.
I'm thinking the easiest solution, based on the fact that I haven't accomplished anything is to buy a new/used dash. What part number would I need for my car? Also how do I get the odometer in the new unit right? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help!
