Considering using 617 as replacement for '52 military Dodge M37. Please see my post (today) in the Diesel Discussion forum. I'm concerned that the 4-speed manual trans used in the 220, 240-D type 123's might not be heavy duty enough.

I haven't been able to determine if there's any way to adapt the 617 to the original Dodge bellhousing to use the old clutch & trans.

Thought that a 'Mog tranny would be heavy enough.
