No its not.

IMHO the 240 is kind of slow. I think a turbo charged 300D is the way to go if you want a W123. They don't really have a problem keeping up with modern traffic. I looked at an 85 CA car awhile back, I like that year and model. No crappy air cleaner bracket to break, and they are geared a bit taller which is nice.

The one time I drove a 240D it was like being in a freaken dump truck on the highway. Man that engine rev's. My impression is that its a 55mph car. Trying to do 75-85 on a modern highway is pushing it.
