Anyone----new diesel owner here; bought an '84 300D to tinker with, in great shape cosmetically but with high miles (267,000). I notice the oil pressure stays pegged all the time and am wondering if that's normal. Also found a bit of oil residing in the bottom of the air filter housing. Finally, based on your experience, how much oil usage between changes is to be expected? It drips a little overnight on the driveway, but haven't had it long enough to determine how much it may be burning (only a couple hundred miles so far...)
