Sorry I feel like I'm beating a dead horse but did more researching on OVP part #'s on this site and with 3 local MB parts desks and am getting some inconsistencies.... What I initially thought was that the newer / upgraded OVP had part # 000 540 67 45 AND had 2 fuses (not sure of the amperage). However, what I found from researching indicates that 000 540 67 45 has only 1 fuse. Also, some posts will also say that 000 540 67 45 is the old version of the OVP.

I attached a JPG table summary of what I found and summarized below.

Summary:

1) Some links will say that Part # 000 540 52 45 is the old / OEM OVP. What is the description of it? Does it have 1 15A fuse or 2 10A fuses?

e.g.
"The old one is 000-540-52-45" --->

2) Some links will say that Part # 000 540 67 45 is the new OVP. Again, what is the description of it? Does it have 1 15A fuse or 2 10A fuses?

"The upgrade replacement is 000- 540-67-45" --->
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=230623&highlight=ovp

3) Some links will switch it around and say that 000 540 67 45 is the old one and that 000 540 52 45 is the new / upgraded one. Again, no description of the number of fuses on the new one vs. the old one.

e.g.
"Old part# 000 540 67 45. New modified replacement 000 540 52 45"
http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=142826&highlight=ovp+part+number

4) I called a few local MB part desks and all 3 have said that 000 540 67 45 is the correct OVP for my car. This OVP has a single 15A fuse, but looks like there are 2 fuse slots (even though one is a dummy). Is this the correct / upgraded OVP?

ALSO, the MB Parts desk guys have an OVP with 2 10A fuses, but they have said that this is the old version, and that the single 15A version is the new one.

5) My OVP looks very similar to the one here, which also includes only a single 15A fuse. So that tells me, as does # 4, that I have the correct OVP. So will replacing the OVP do me any good? Is it then just that the OVP is fried, as opposed to being an older model?
