It wouldn't be any more of a risk than using the oil filter housing. Don't forget that our W123 oil system uses the same oil source on the filter base as the turbo feed.

The turbo also has a 2mm restriction orifice. If a 1/8" line fails there is more than enough excess volume in the 8mm supply line to make up for it.
