Hello--
Would some please help me since I've tried these steps and was not able to reset the negative (-) milleage for my 2003 ML500? THANK YOU!

FSS reset

1. Shut door, wait until the dome lamp goes off.
2. Turn key to position 2.
3. Within 4 seconds press button 1 twice.
4. The present status for days or distance is displayed. Within 10 seconds turn key in steering lock to position 0.
5. Press and hold button 1, while turning key in steering lock to position 2 again. The present status for days or distance is displayed once more. Continue to hold button 1. After aproxtamely10 seconds a signal sounds, and the display shows 10,000 miles for approximately 10 seconds.
6. Release button 1.
