Hey everybody, here's my problem:
1. The E500 started missing real bad 1 week ago, then check engine light came on
2. I took it to auto zone where they diagnosed the code that said,"misfire detected in cylinder 8."
3. I changed the plugs, wires and eventually the coil pack; the same condition still continued.
4. My brother-n-law who is a mechanic suggested a fuel injection cleaner, whichdid seem to make it somewhat better but not completely(he lives more than 100 miles from me).
5. now when i drive it, sometimes it'll run smooth, then sometimes it'll start missing while I'm sitting at a light then runs rough until I turn it off, restart it then it'l run smooth again.
6. all the while, i've had the check engine light reset 3 times already only for it to keep coming back on!
7. I also tried the mass air flow cleaner.
8. HELLLP!!!!!
9. I live in Michigan
10. it has 139,000 miles on it.
