The new Mobil 1 ATF web page still states "Compatible with mineral ATF fluids and all common seal materials".

Mobil 1 ATF and Valvoline Dexron VI are both synthetic. Why is Valvoline more old seal friendly? Is it because Mobil uses PAO while Valvoline uses group III base stock?
