The gear ratio for the differential, is on the lower left side of the Diff.
Clean off the corner on the Diff. housing, not the cover. It is stamped
in the metal.

Don`t believe the W123 has a limited slip, locking rear end. there might be some
in markets out side of the U.S.

Check your driveline, could be your flex disc or center support bearing.
