Drive line has been checked as I had the motor, transmission and drive shaft out to the rear flex plate. There is definitely a clunking sound in reverse. Could be the shoes dragging, maybe. The plan is the pull out the complete rear end for a total rebuild/rebush.
I'm sure that there was an option on these for a limited slip or auto locking diff. I wonder what would fit in. A Detroit TrueTrac would be nice.
