My car's driver's side outside mirror is in permanent heat mode. Irrelevant of the outside temperature. The passenger side mirror is acting normally.

Normally the heated mirror function was comming on when the temperrature dipped below about 34F and then turned off automatically after about 20 Minutes or so. But as I said, now the driver's side mirror gets hot even in my garage.

What would cause that? Where is the thermostat for these mirrors?

The car is a 1995 E300D, (same as E320)
