I have a 1988 w124 260e . The under hood engine compartment temp is very high. The windscreen washer water reaches 60 degrees celcius which I am sure is not normal , you can`t put your finger in it as it burns you. Even the front fenders get very warm. The car indicates normal running temp. I was wondering if by using that exhaust insulating wrap would decrease the under hood temp as the supplier advertises. Any thoughts or advice?
