I am sure that the 236000 trans I have could be worked out. I plan on selling it after the switch.

What I am looking to do is learn how to rebuild the trans in more depth than changing the fluid and filter. At a minimum I would like to disassemble and inspect the internal components to make sure I can get 100000 miles out of it in the future. If it gets to a point that you need special tools, I would send it out.

This whole car is a project car. No rush. This is how I destress. And I like to do as much myself as possible. But I will admit I have never disassembled a auto trans.

Thats why I am looking for some insight here before I fowl the whole thing up.
