I just bought a used blower motor assembly ($75 shipped). I tried to disassemble the old one without breaking it and was unsuccessful. The squirrel cage is attached in a way that can't be pried off or drilled off and the other side of the motor is attached by a press fit. If you hold it in a vice you can probably use a cold chisel and knock the cap off, but I don't see how you could remove the squirrel cage without breaking it.

EDIT: The plastic housing in your first pic comes off easily by removing the screw and pushing the motor though the hole until it comes out, but that's where easy stops.
