the pin is internally threaded. Use a long bolt, a washer and two LONG screwdrivers/prybars (one on each side) and pull the pin out. Just be careful and not knock a hole in the cover under the ends of the prybars.
While putting pressure on the bolt head/washer you may have to tap the bolt to help loosen the pin.
