Not that you need to do this to change a heater core, but NEVER jack up the car by one of the front jacking points when the dashboard is out of the car.

"Why would I do that," you ask? I really don't know, but if you do the windshield will crack.

Mercedes put out a bullitin on this back in the 1980's, so I guess someone did it somewhere. Maybe they were waiting on a part and decided to change the front brakes while the car was in the garage.
