From the cover, it looks like Andrew Duggan played the father to Patricia Neal's mom, whereas in the series we had Ralph (Waite, or something like that? Anybody know without checking IMDb?) and Michael Learned, respectively.

Hamner had also written a "Twilight Zone" a few years back, and a little memory stirs in my brain to say that he also had a story credit on "Star Trek" -- but I'm probably wrong on that.
