Maybe I'll just tap into the emergency blinker switch.
For another option, my car has two wires running underneath the shifter console that lead to the radio. One is switched power and the other was constant power. I assume the constant power is for the radio station memory/clock. That's easy enough to tap in to, but the in-line fuse (oh yea, they both have in-line fuses that look factory) is probably not sized to carry much of a load. You'll have to check it.
