If your idea of Diesels is based on a 240D, an SD will surprise you above 55mph. My SD surprises me above 85mph. Passing hasn't been an issue but I don't have much opportunity. Your 380SE, modified exhaust and all, will be hard pressed to keep up with an SDL.
