Yeah, I am liking the idea of the 300SDL...with the six-cylinder engine and the "second series" W126 body. I think there may just be one in my future, but the 380SE suits me quite nicely right now. Weren't the 300SDLs supposed to have a higher top speed than any gasoline-powered American sedan upon their launch in '86? I seem to remember that from an old article on cars.com.
