Yes, bgkast, the antifreeze blend is definitely correct, I've got HOA coolant mixeed in the correct proportions for a minus 40 C mix. Also, I have decided that there is a corresponding loss of power associated with this new noise. The acceleration is now not as peppy as it used to be, even once the car has warmed up. I guess I am afraid that something in the injection pump is bunged up, and that might be beyond my level of expertise to fix. Of course, there is a "fresh" engine in stinky...
