I just looked up the temp on google where you live, its 27F!! Same as here! The car should easily start in these temps! Ours all do....

It starts like it's summer now, but in the 5˚ we had the other day, it took 12 seconds of cranking. At 7˚ the next day it took 3 seconds of cranking.
I have addressed all the things you mention in the last month but don't want to wait for a problem with colder temps. It does get to 0 and below here. If my wife gets stranded due to the CD not starting, all her enthusiasm for diesels will be dashed.

I can't let that happen as I want more of them.
