Some people can be side-by-side in the same room, looking at the same set and both will have different opinions about the same thing...

Each person has a very different way of viewing televison...just as each person has a very different way of listening to the radio or music...it's in the eyes/ears of the beholder...

What I currently have is a 32" analog in a 10'x12' room...I personally would like something just a smig larger...but how much? 38"? 45"? 54"?

I would have to try out a few to see what I'd be comfortable with...and who's got the policy of trying it before you buy it? Not too many folks...so it's a crap shoot...

The best you can do is see where you want to go...see if you have the room to stuff it, then go looking for what appeals to you...making sure you remember what situation(s) you're taking the set back to...

A predominently dark room or one that is fairly bright?

One that has a TV stand or one that the set will have to be nailed to the wall somehow?

One that has critters with finger-fudge just waiting to "lay hands" on your expensive purchase, or toss that Nerf Phrisbee into the screen?

So-o-o-o many things to consider...and only one checkbook that has to avoid the flames...

Happy chopping!
