I dont know what my sister had, but it "lost suction" as she says after 5 or so years. Quite contrary to the ad on TV. But we have one in our house and it's been working fine. I dont think it's THAT great though. Seems to work as well as any other vacuum we've had. I'm not a neat freak nor a vacuum cleaner savant though
