Yes, 2 kids fighting in a sandbox, is a way to describe the situation. The insufficency of either side to move forward and take it to a level where adjustments and progress can be made toward a solution, dignified in the face of humans.

With humans, I mean not only those affected directly, but also those who are literally forced to pay attention, whether they want to or not.

Because those 2 kids managed to play themselves into the foreground of the world's most emotional controversy, since over half a century, disregarding the possiblity, that the rest of the globe's inhabitants might be truly sick and tired of their *****. (pardon my language)

I know, it's asking too much.

Whether it's an issue or not, what really bothers myself is the continued grasp for attention and to place burden on everybody else, to either support or oppose their actions.
