Next: a big thanks to this august group that assisted me in diagnosing a intermittent misfire on my C230.. It was the ignition coil on #4. Isolated it .. bought new coil > and she's running like a champ again.

Now >> new issue>>

1997 C230, 143K on the clock...

when I make a hard turn > bad sound from the rear/trunk region.. like something rattling around back there.[maybe >I'll check]..

but > what should I expect out of the shock absorbers... shock mounts... bushings... ?? // My son has a 99 BMW M3 and we are looking at major bushing action in the next couple of months.. as it appears that the Rear shockmounts predictably fail after a couple of years..

anything similar with the C230??

How much life/time do you get out of shocks, bushings??
