Glow Plug revelations

The problem was a sudden no start situation. I had replaced only two glow plugs after i bought the car in Sept. Now it was not starting.
I pulled the plug on the relay and found two more bad plugs.(0 resistance) Then severely chastised myself on why I didn't just replace all 5 to start with. 3 seconds later I was over it.
I found several things that my help others who have little or no experience with replacing plugs.
1) On an unknown car... just replace them all.
2) Remove injector lines first.. it just makes it so much easier.
3) When plugging in the glow plug socket into the glow plug timer, don't do it at night "by feel". It will go on the relay without 2 plugs being on. Use a flashlight to be sure its on right.
4) Buy a 12mm rachet wrench... saves a lot of time.
5) If working on this on New Years Eve, do it sober ...

Good Luck and thanks to all over the past year who helped me with many problems.

Walking isn't a lost art: one must, by some means, get to the garage.
