Not sure if this would still work.... In Dec '01 ( 3 months after 9/11), the wife and I were going to Hawaii and back. I packed a small bag with the usual carry on stuff, but didn't check all the pockets. After 5 of the 6 flights I opened a pocket and found my Leatherman ( a real one not a knock off). It had gone through security 5 times and not been questioned. Probably because when folded up it appears to be a solid block of metal. We made it through the 6th checkpoint and home with no issues. Wonder if it still slips by?
