I read yesterday about how Warren Buffett was offered a collection of 1400 classic cars back in the eighties for a million dollars, but passed on it. Later on, some individual cars from that collection were auctioned off for several million dollars apiece. The story is in Snowball, his authorized biography. I forget the specific brands and models that were in that collection, but there were Mercedes, Bugattis, Ferraris, Porsches, and many other very desireable cars in it.
