It will likely be very difficult to find one of those engines. Why on earth would you put a MB motor in a kia? A kia has about as much protection as a cardboard box in an accident!

A 617 (300SD) engine weighs about 650lbs....and would probably collapse the entire car to the ground With the transmission it is over 750lbs. The engine in a sportage probably weighs less than half of that.

As babymog said, the best engine candidate would probably be a tdi VW motor.
