Currently have some sort of vacuum leak in the CC system of my 95 C280.
From Steve's Article:
MERCEDES-BENZ: A/C DIAGNOSTICS & EVAPORATOR REPLACEMENT, Steve Brotherton, ImportCar, April 2001
"The procedures for pulling Fault Codes go like this (See Chart 3): Turn on the ignition, and set the left temperature to "HI" and the right temperature to "LO." Then, simultaneously press buttons "Rest" and "EC" for five or more seconds. All of this must be done within 20 seconds. The "Recirculate" button will flash its LED. The screen will then go blank, and the first code can be brought up by pressing the right "AUTO" button."
1. This didn't work in my 95 C280 (diff. PBU; I did 72 + Auto). I would press REST & RECIRC but the unit would act as if I was only pressing REST... so I came up with actual value codes... not the individual flap testing...
Any ideas why??
2. Also, I read fault codes (engine OFF, REST + DEF) and got 60 and 82 as usual...
but I tried reading fault codes with the engine ON, and I got code 59. What is this? It seems as though engine OFF provides EVEN # codes, but with the engine ON, it provides ODD # codes.
(Attached diagram is the info I wish to retrieve) for Q. # 1)
