Unfortunately it is a problem endemic to these W126 cars, most of which are now 20 years old or older.
Do you think these Benzes leak and rust more than comparable (bear with me) American cars? Or are they just on the road longer and therefore end up leaking/rusting just because of their extreme age? I've never owned an American car that was more than 12-13 years old, so I have no personal experience there.
