Never use stop leak. It can cause problems that require ENTIRE SYSTEM REPLACEMENT to cure. In addition, it can cause thousands of dollars of damage to service equipment. Because of this, systems with stop leak installed should have the ports shrink-wrapped to alert shop personnel.

x2 with a dozen "!" marks. Dont put that stuff in your system- It will lead to more head aches!. I have done about 10 of these and It is not a simple job. If you are not a meticulous person and are not pretty mechanically inclined I would not recommend you do it. You dealing with some pretty complicated and potentialy dangerous systems.(air bags- etc). Its not impossible for you to do, just be prepared to spend a lot of time .
