replace it with a new or good reman unit, its 2 much a pain in the arse to replace with questionable unit. mine went up few months ago, was a royal pain to replace. hopefully its easier on SDL though.

btw, I got my reman bosch from worldpac for $160 ish. Its smaller than the benz starter was, which made it easier to get in but leaves me a little worried..maybe electronics have improved since mid 80s.

Always but always TEST THE NEW STARTER BEFORE PUTTING IT IN. Put your foot on it and hot shot the +12 lead on it to make sure it actually works. Ive read too many stories of ppl getting supposedly new one in and its kaput. Would really suck...
