The trap ox recall has been done for sure. Last time I went to the dealer (years ago) they specifically pointed that out.
I think my mechanic is thinking of a warranty on the turbo from the turbo manufacturer. Garrett does offer a life time warranty on some of their turbos, it seems. At least that's what the Internet told me, so it must be true
I just can't find any specifics for my model and year.
I have no idea what caused this problem with my turbo. It started suddenly one cold morning when the car wouldn't shift from 2 to 3 and the RPMs went quite high before I let off the gas. The turbo suddenly sounded like a dentist drill on high.
