I am replacing my distributor cap (87 300E) and the O-ring is hard as dog biscuits and does not want to come off, though I haven't tried too hard for fear of breakage.(my only car at present) Should I just try to chip away at it or if I remove the rotor driver will it come out easily? thanx.
