I can't speak for curlytom, but I choose Mobil over Redline for two simple reasons: When you use 15gallons/year, the price for Redline was hard to justify, and availability; I can buy the Mobil locally whenever I'm ready to change oil.

I feel that Redline is a better oil, but how much better? If I ever start racing again it's worth the extra money, for regular driving and regular changes however, I can't justify it.
