Kind of depends on what your circumstances are. How much does it cost and how much can you afford? I'm all for buying a car you know nothing about and using it as a learning experience. I just did that with my new 240D. But the cost was nothing for me, and the cost to fix it/mess it up/fix what I messed up is well within my means. As far as 4matics, I couldn't tell you much, other that it's a pretty car.
