I replaced my CPS yesterday on the 300E.....running perfectly now! Old one tested just barely out of spec when I ran a test on it. Also, the bolt holding it in place was finger loose!! 
It was a PAIN routing that cable....especially when its 14F outside. 
I did have to remove the oil filter, I tried to work around it but finally gave up and removed it.
