Blue puff of smoke after extended idling is diagnostic for bad valve guide seals/valve guides.

Was the place you had the work done familiar with MB valve guide clearances, or did they ream them to get a couple thousandths clearance? If so, there is your oil problem. MB valves usually won't go into the guide dry, they must be oiled, and clearance is less than 0.0005" cold with a new guidel

The other possibility is that the seals were damaged during installation, or not seated properly on the head, allowing oil to leak down.

Don't have any other ideas, alas!
