anyone experienced with removing this ghastly thing and replacing it with a real locking glove compartment?

can it be done? if so, please advise as to how to go about it.

i have already removed the center console nonsense.

now i want to restore the dash to only a single sodium azide bag[driver] and replace the passenger sodium azide bag with a locking glove box.

help.
