The IP is on the side of the engine anyway to get heated for the diesel to flow freely, same with oil, this doesn't change the temperature of the IP.

About the chamber and the valves, some have been reported to have 300.000 Kilometer on their mercedes and still going strong on SVO, this when the oil was cheap, about WVO, not sure.
