Wait, are you talking about the strip of terminals that the wiring for the hatch connects to? There's no brake light in the hatch. I wouldn't have thought there would be a brake light terminal there.
I have one of
these in my wagon and just got another one for the '74, but haven't installed that one yet. Mine is tapped into the brake light wire behind the spare tire.
If you look close in this pic, you can see the light. Its glued to the inside of the window. I had to try a few different adhesives before one actually stuck, so the glue isn't too pretty, but its not terrible.
I don't have a pic of it lit up, but its bright.
