You assume wrong.
Of all the things I don't like about Sarah Palin, I think the thing I dislike most is her habit of portraying Obama as anti-American. As the crowds at her rallies grew more hostile, she continued with her inflammatory rhetoric. I have no reason to think that she would want Obama hurt, but she didn't show any signs that she objected to her followers saying nasty things about him.
I am surprised that you don't see this as a serious issue.
