Performanceproducts had a sale for the wood and leather steering plus wood and leather shift knob combo for $699. Thats the best price I have seen so far. If bought from dealer, the steering itself will cost $1,000. I was quoted by the dealer the install will run another $1,000. I believe you will run a chance to void the warranty if the airbag is installed by an indy, that is the way MB to protect itself from liability law suite if your SRS fails in an event of an accident.
