I thought that as well but I changed my CPS last summer, and my experiences with that is it would malfunction after the car reached a certain temperature (around 81 degrees) so I kind of ruled it out. I'm unaware of any other conditions in which the CPS would malfunction, do you? How often do they go? How can I be sure it's the CPS?

Note: It's is very cold in Chicago (15 degrees F), and the car hasn't been driven in about 2 months. Also i've noticed there isn't much gas in the tank (less than 1/4th).

Thanks for your input!
