Well it's all buttoned up and running again. It seems like a new car, but it always does after I fix something pretty major.

All the rubber hoses and connections ended up being about $135.00. Add to that the valve cover gasket, $35, crush washers, $10, oil guide O rings, $16 and chain guide, $30, and the total was about $230.

The mechanic wanted $600 so I did pretty well, but I only did one side. Now the passenger side will only cost about $75 because I replaced the rubber vent hoses. Even though it's not ticking on the passenger side, I may go in just to replace the chain guide, which crumbled in my hand when I touched it on the drivers side.
